Former US Senator In Belfast To Meet Stormont Parties
Representatives of the Stormont Executive parties are to meet today with former US Senator Gary Hart.
Mr Hart is in Northern Ireland on a fact-finding mission, understood to be undertaken on behalf of US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Hart arrived in Belfast from Dublin where he met party leaders, and before that he was in London. It is understood he is looking at how the US might help move the Northern Ireland peace process forward.
Mr Hart will start his day by meeting the Alliance party.

Not Guilty Plea On Northern Bank Charge
The only person to be charged in connection with multi million pound Northern Bank raid three years ago has been in court. Bank employee Chris Ward denied that he was involved in the £26.5 million robbery at the bank's Belfast HQ.

Belfast Strangler Sentenced
A Chinese man convicted of strangling the woman he described as his girlfriend was today told he will serve a minimum of 17 years for the brutal killing. The body of 22-year old Qu Mei Na - who was known as Tina - was discovered in the boot of a car on a garage forecourt on Belfast's Antrim road in the early hours of June 3, 2004.

County Down man given 12-year sentence
A County Down man was today given a 12-year jail sentence at Downpatrick Magistrates Court after he was found guilty of stabbing two teenagers. Paul Stephen Bustard, 34, from Donard Avenue in Newtownards, was found guilty of stabbing a 17-year-old girl and her 19-year-old boyfriend, after luring them to a flat in Bangor in June this year.

The SDLP, Ulster Unionist Party (UUP), Alliance Party and the Green Party are pushing for a debate in the Assembly to discuss the recommendations of the Historical Abuse Inquiry (HIA). Former High Court Judge Justice Anthony Hart published his recommendations following the conclusion of the HIA today, 20 January.
