Security Alert In West Belfast Ends
A security alert in west Belfast involving an abandoned stolen car has ended, police have said.
A section of the Falls Road in the west of the city had been closed from around 5.30pm on Thursday in relation to the alert.
Police have said a "suspicious vehicle" was being checked, but "nothing untoward" was found.
The road had been closed between Whiterock Road and Glen Road, with motorists being diverted away from the area. No homes were evacuated.
The car at the centre of the alert was reported stolen on Thursday. It was involved in a collision with another vehicle but the occupants in the stolen car then fled the scene. A woman and child were in the other vehicle and they were taken to hospital following the crash. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Security Alert In L'Derry
A suspicious object has been discovered on the outskirts of L'Derry. The object was found in a laneway off the Drunahoe Road. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Drumahoe Road has been closed at its junctions with the Fincairn Road and Church Road.

A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.
