'Grenade' Found In Church Graveyard
Police have carried out a controlled explosion on a grenade that was found during a security alert at a graveyard in Coleraine, County L'Derry.
Army Technical Officers were called to the scene at Laurel Hill Road following the alert on Tuesday afternoon, which was sparked when a digger unearthed a suspicious object.
St John's Catholic Church was cordoned off on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, but police said no homes were evacuated and no road closures were in place.
The controlled explosion was carried out on Tuesday night. Two handguns and a some ammunition have been sent to forensics for testing.
The police cordon was lifted at about 08:00 on Wednesday.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A driver has been caught doing a "completely crazy" speed in Co Down. The PSNI caught a driver speeding at 135mph on Tuesday night, 06 June. The motorist is being taken to court, police confirmed. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Wise up, slow down." Driving at excessive speeds can lead to disqualification.

Woman Dies Following Collision In Co Antrim
A 27-year-old woman has died after she sustained serious injuries in a car crash in county Antrim earlier this month. The one-vehicle collision occurred on the Glenravel Road area in Cargan on 11 September. The woman was the driver of a white Hyundai car. She died in hospital on Wednesday night, according to the police.

Homes Evacuated In Omagh Security Alert
Homes in Omagh were evacuated in a security alert earlier today, Wednesday 31 October, after the discovery of a suspicious object. Police attended the scene on the Riverview Road, which was closed to traffic for some time. The object was found not to pose a threat and the road has since reopened for use.
