140 New Jobs Announced In Kildare

Labour TD Jack Wall today welcomed news that 140 new jobs are coming on stream in Newbridge, County Kildare.

He said: "The announcement by Homesecure that it is to start recruitment for a variety of roles across its operations, including administration and sales, will be a huge boost to South Kildare. 100 positions are in the process of being recruited, while 40 additional roles will be filled in the next three years.

"The news comes in a week which confirms that the number of people on the Live Register in Newbridge has fallen nearly 8% in comparison to last year. This encouraging news, in tandem with today’s jobs announcement shows the progress we are making in reducing the numbers of people looking for work.

"Labour Ministers have introduced schemes such as JobsPlus and Springboard that are already helping people to move out of long-term unemployment into high-quality training, education and full-time employment."
