Vandals Attack Coleraine Mayor's Home
The home of the Mayor of Coleraine has been vandalised overnight.
George Duddy found graffiti painted on a wall at his home on the Drumaquill Road; it is the third time in the past year that the DUP Councillor's property has been attacked.
It is understood graffiti was also sprayed onto the house of one of Mr Duddy's neighbours and a flag was stolen. A car in the area was also left damaged when, what is thought to be corrosive liquid, was poured over it. Police described the damage to the vehicle as "substantial".
The PSNI are now looking at whether the three incidents are related.
They are being treated as a hate crime.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
