Man Stabbed In Newry

A man, 27, has been stabbed in Newry, County Down.

The attack happened in the Carnagh Park area in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service treated the man at the scene.

He is currently in hospital and is believed to be in serious but stable condition.

Man remanded over Derry murder
A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Londonderry on Friday. Police said that when charged Paul James Morrin, 41, from Galliagh Park said he had "nothing to say." Gerald Martin O'Hagan, 19, was found stabbed in a flat in the Galliagh Park area of the city on Friday afternoon.

Man Killed In Co Tyrone Crash Named
A 50-year-old man killed in a crash is Co Tyrone has been named. Kieran McSorley was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision on the Omagh Road just before 7pm. Three other people were taken to hospital to be treated, however their conditions are not known. The road was re-opened at around 3am on Friday.

Murder inquiry launched in County Down
Detectives in County Down have launched a murder inquiry after a man was fatally stabbed during an incident yesterday evening. The attack happened in the Derrybeg area of Newry at around 7.30pm, when it is understood that the victim intervened in a row.
