Strabane Farm House Set On Fire
A farmhouse in Strabane, County Tyrone has been set on fire in what police have said is an arson attack.
The fire occurred at a property on the Melmount Road and was reported to emergency services on Wednesday at about 19:00 in the evening.
Police said extensive damage was caused to the top floor and roof of the house, which was unoccupied as it was for sale.
Police have launched an appeal for anyone who saw unusual or suspicious activity close to the house on Wednesday to get in touch.

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
