£16m Investment Found For Early-Stage Tech Firms
A total of £16m is to be used to fund early-stage technology businesses, the Department of Enterprise has announced.
Techstart NI will see £13m used for investment in small and medium-sized firms, with the remaining £3m going to university spin-outs.
The money is being provided as part of Northern Ireland Executive's Access to Finance programme.
"The fund will be an important part of Invest Northern Ireland's access for finance suite of funding, which now totals £160m over six funds," Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said.
She added: "To date, over £48m of investment has been made through these funds, helping over 400 businesses access the finance they need to grow and develop."
