Woman Charged Over Drugs Trafficking

A 19-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with drugs trafficking and money laundering offences.

Detectives from PSNI Organised Crime Branch charged the woman following her arrest in the Kensington area of London on Sunday, 13 July.

The arrest was made as part of a "proactive" operation against drug importation, in which about £350,000 of cannabis and about £48,000 is thought to have been seized during searches in Belfast, Larne and in County Down on 02 and 03 July. It followed a search at a property under the assistance of officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Two women aged 24 and 45 have been charged by police in relation to the operation and appeared at Laganside Magistrates Court on Friday 4 July.

Four Charged With Drugs Offences
Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Two Charged With Murdering Owen Creaney
Two people have been charged with the murder of Owen Creaney. Mr Creaney, 40, who has been described as "frail and vulnerable" by police, was found in a wheelie bin at a property in the Craigavon area on Saturday (5 July). Following the discovery, detectives arrested a man, aged 27, and a 23-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

International Drugs Operation Nets Four
A man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the seizure of heroin worth over €3 million in Co. Louth last week. The man, who was arrested in Banbridge in Co. Down, is charged with the unlawful importation of Class A drugs and the supply of Class A drugs.

Man Charged With Drugs Offences After Being Arrested In England
A man has been charged in connection with drugs offences after being arrested in England on Wednesday, 06 July. The 41-year-old suspect is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court today, 08 July. He has been charged with encouraging or assisting offences linked to the supply of class A drugs and money laundering.

Woman Charged Over Illegal Supply Of Prescription Drugs
A 45-year-old woman has been charged following an investigation into the illegal supply of prescription drugs. Two men, aged 21 and 33, were also arrested on Thursday following a number of searches in north Belfast. A large quantity of diazepam tablets have also been seized, according to police. The woman is due to appear in court today, Friday.
