Hundreds Of New Jobs Announced For Cork

Fine Gael TD for Cork North West, Áine Collins, has reflected on a positive week for Cork following announcements of hundreds of new jobs last week.

She said: "Southwestern, whom I myself used to work for, are an Irish-owned outsourcing company, who have announced the creation of 260 jobs at their new office in Cork over coming two years. I wish to congratulate the Jim Costello, CEO of Southwestern, on a fantastic result with this expansion of the company.

"Zenith Technologies, based in Ringaskiddy announced the creation of 30 graduate jobs by the end of the year in engineering, systems integration and MES engineering.

"200 small food businesses from Cork and Kerry are set to create 300 new jobs through the Food academy Start programme. This involves collaboration between Bord Bia, SuperValu and the Local Enterprise Offices.

"Other major Cork jobs announcements since the beginning of this year include 360 jobs at Voxpro, 150 jobs at Hedgeserv and 500 jobs at Tyco."
