Two Arrested Over Bin Body Discovery

Two people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a man's body in a wheelie bin in Craigavon on Saturday.

Police report that the body of Owen Creaney (40), of Victoria Place, Lurgan, was discovered concealed inside a in on Saturday evening.

It is understood that Mr Creaney suffered a "sustained assault".

A 27-year-old man and 23-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with Mr Creaney's death, police have said.

Police say their investigation is ongoing. They have been granted additional time to question the two.

Two Charged With Murdering Owen Creaney
Two people have been charged with the murder of Owen Creaney. Mr Creaney, 40, who has been described as "frail and vulnerable" by police, was found in a wheelie bin at a property in the Craigavon area on Saturday (5 July). Following the discovery, detectives arrested a man, aged 27, and a 23-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
