Police Appeal Over Armed Robbery Of East Belfast Newsagents

Police have appeal to anyone with any information on an armed robbery of a shop in east Belfast on Wednesday night to contact them

Police say they are investigating if a shot was fined during the robbery of a newsagent's shop on Bloomfield Avenue at about 20:45 on Wednesday.

It is understood that three men wearing balaclavas entered the shop and threatened staff with a suspected handgun.

The men fled towards Bately Street and onto Ravenscroft Avenue with money and cigarettes.

Appeal Following Armed Robbery In Carrick
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at an off-licence in Carrickfergus, County Antrim. The incident occurred in the Woodburn Road area on Sunday. A man wearing a balaclava, believed to have been armed with a handgun, entered the premises and demanded the shop assistant hand over money and cigarettes.

Businesses Damaged By Blaze In Portstewart
An investigation has launched after a number of businesses were damaged by a blaze in The Diamond in Portstewart. The alarm was raised at 5am on Monday, however fire crews were called back at around 9.30am. A chip shop, coffee shop and hairdressers were damaged as a result. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Armed robbery at east Belfast newsagents
Police in east Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a newsagents yesterday evening. The incident happened at around 7.30pm, when two men, one of whom was armed with what is believed to have been a handgun, entered the shop on the Upper Newtownards road and threatened staff.

Police Appeal Following Armed Robbery Of Shop In Newry
An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a shop in Newry on Wednesday, 28 February. At around 9.30pm, a man entered the shop on Canal Street and threatened staff with a knife. The suspect demanded money and is said to have fled the scene with a unknown sum of cash.

Two Arrested Over Co Antrim Armed Robbery
Police investigating the armed robbery of a shop in Armoy, Co Antrim, on Saturday night have arrested two men. It is understood that two men armed with a gun and a knife threatened staff at a shop on Coolkeeran Road at about 19:00 on Saturday. The men made off with a quantity of cash and cigarettes. No-one was injured in the incident.
