Police investigate death threats against postal workers

Police are investigating death threats issued to two Catholic postal workers in Londonderry at the weekend.

The two workers received 'sympathy' cards to their separate home addresses, which were marked 'Ulster Volunteer Force' inside.

The workers have taken leave off work after receiving the cards on Saturday.

Police are carrying out forensic tests on the cards.

Elsewhere, a Sinn Fein councillor in Co Antrim has received a death threat from the Ulster Defence Association.

Aine Gribbon, a Sinn Fein member in Antrim town, said she did not know why the loyalist paramilitary group had singled her out.
