Businesses Meet The Buyer For Contract Opportunities
A number of businesses had the chance to 'Meet the Buyer' for contracting opportunities around the development of Girdwood Park in north Belfast.
The event was held in the Lanyon Suite, Crumlin Road Gaol for businesses to find out about current and upcoming sub-contracting and supply chain opportunities.
Hosted by Belfast City Council in partnership with DEL and Apex Housing Association, businesses had the opportunity to meet with O’Hare and McGovern, the main contractor for the Girdwood Hub as well as Kelly Brothers, the contractor for the social housing project.
Advice and support to local businesses was also available from a number of exhibition stalls including the Construction Employers Federation; Enterprise Northern Ireland; Health and Safety Works NI; Belfast Metropolitan College and Belfast City Council; Department of Employment & Learning; O’Hare & McGovern; Apex Housing Association; Kelly Brothers and the Harvey Group.
Work is currently underway to transform part of Girdwood Park into a community hub which will offer safe, shared and modern leisure and community facilities when it opens in summer 2015.
