Strabane device 'an elaborate hoax'
Police have declared a device left outside the home of a Strabane family as an elaborate hoax.
Army bomb experts were called to the house in the Ballycolman estate at around 11pm last night.
The family and their neighbours were evacuated from their homes as the army carried out a controlled explosion on the device - which police later said comprised of a small container with wires attached.
