Man Arrested Over Ballymena Murder
A man is due at Coleraine Magistrates Court today after being charged with the murder of a woman in Ballymena, County Antrim.
32-year-old Denise Dunlop was killed at a house in Centuripe Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 41-year-old accused was arrested by detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch.
SDLP Ballymena Councillor Declan O'Loan said: "Like everyone in Ballymena, I am shocked and saddened to hear of this tragic news. I express my sympathy to the victim’s family, and my thoughts and prayers are with them at this heartbreaking time. The matter is under police investigation and we should await the outcome of that, and I urge anyone with any information to contact the PSNI immediately."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A 70-year-old Ballymena man has been jailed for an axe attack in the town in September 2020. At Laganside Court on Monday, 16th December, William Kirkpatrick, was jailed for nine years in connection with the assault at the Russellstown Road area of Ballymena on Monday 14th September 2020.

Arrest After Man Found Dead In Ballymena
A woman has been arrested following the discovery of a man's body at a home in Ballymena. Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team launched a murder investigation following the death of the 40-year-old at a house in the Devenagh Court area of the town on Thursday 22 November.
