Teenager Shot In L'Derry

A teenager has been shot in the Creggan area of L'Derry.

The incident occurred in the Rathlin Drive area of the city at around 11.20pm on Thursday.

It is understood the 18-year-old was shot five times in the leg. He received three gunshot wounds on his right leg and two on his left leg. Police have described the incident as "a paramilitary-style shooting."

The teenager was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for his injuries. They are not believed to be life-threatening.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.

Man recovering in hospital following paramilitary-style attack
A 23-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down. The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Saturday on the Abbotts Road in Newtownards. Police said the victim had tried to run away when he saw four men pull up alongside him in a red Ford Escort car.

Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident on Thursday night, 30 August. A man, aged in his 60s, suffered a gunshot wound to his leg when a number of masked men forced entry into a house in the Ballymagroarty area of the city at around 11pm.

Man Shot In Cookstown
A man has been shot in the leg during an incident in Cookstown. Two men wearing balaclavas and camouflage jackets entered a house in the Drumcree area at around 5.40pm on Sunday, 05 June. One of the men was armed with a handgun. They threatened the occupants of the property before shooting a man, aged 35, in the leg.

Four injured in paramilitary-style attacks across the province
Four men have been injured in separate paramilitary-style attacks in Northern Ireland. In the first incident, a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg in County Antrim. The attack happened at about 5.15pm on Thursday February 28 in the Carnhill Walk area of Carrickfergus. Two men overpowered the man and forced him to the ground.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor, Co Down. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in from of his young son on 28 May this year. The suspect has been taken to Musgrave police station to be questioned.
