Co Armagh home targeted in petrol bomb attack
A house has been targeted in a petrol bomb attack in Co Armagh early this morning.
Petrol bombs were thrown at the house in Corban Crescent, Lurgan at around 1.20am. No one was injured during the incident.
A hooded man was seen running away from the scene of the incident immediately afterwards.
Police have not ascertained a motive for the attack but have appealed for anyone with information, or who may have seen the man flee the scene, to contact them on 028 3833 2424 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Elsewhere, a number of people were evacuated from their homes in Co Down early this morning following a security alert.
Police in Banbridge immediately sealed off Newry Street in the town at around 2am.
A preliminary search was immediately carried out in the area but no further details are available at this time.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack at a property in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine. Shortly after 1.20am on Monday 22nd August, emergency services were called to reports of a fire after a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at the front of a property.

Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile has condemned a further petrol bomb attack in the Short Strand area. Police are investigating the incident, which saw four petrol bombs thrown at an east Belfast interface around 10.30pm on Monday night.

House targeted in suspected petrol bomb attack
Police in Co Down are appealing for information following a suspected petrol bomb attack at a house in Saintfield. The incident occurred at a property on the Listooder Road at around 12.45am on Monday. Scorch damage was caused to the front door of the house and a door mat was also destroyed by the fire.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following two petrol bomb attacks in the Dungannon area in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 30th May. At approximately 3.25am police received a report of a car on fire in the Spout Road area of Fivemiletown.
