Family Learning Centre Opens In Dungannon
A new Family Learning Centre has been opened by the Department for Social Development in Dungannon, County Tyrone.
The new £260,000 centre is based at St Patrick’s Primary School and will provide an IT suite, along with a large multi- purpose room that will be used by the school children during the day.
The centre is to run a series of parenting support courses in the evenings, including English language, computer training and wellbeing practices.
Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland said: "Parental support, knowledge and involvement are critical to the success of each child. This Family Resource Centre, which lies at the heart of the community, will offer invaluable services and support to both children and parents, including many parents from the migrant community, by providing much needed activities and educational courses."
The Family Learning Centre will also be made available to the local community in the evenings and at weekends.

Three Arrested In Connection With South Armagh Firearms Find
Police have arrested three men in connection with the discovery of firearms in Crossmaglen last year. Detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch, local District Police, and the Tactical Support Group carried out searches in South Armagh and Grantham, Lincolnshire on Thursday 12 December.

Two men released following McCartney questioning
Two men arrested in connection with the murder of Belfast man Robert McCartney have been released. The men, who were also being question by police about the attempted murder of Mr McCartney's friend, Brendan Devine, which took place on January 30, are believed to have been released on Wednesday.
