19 Jobs Created By Taxi Conversion Company

19 jobs are expected to be created over the next two years through a £2.5m investment by a Northern Ireland company that converts taxis and buses for disabled access.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered the County Tyrone firm over £170,000 towards its expansion plans, which include creating 19 new jobs over the next two years.

Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster opened Taxi & Bus Conversion Limited’s new purpose-built factory in Dungannon.

She said: "This state-of-the-art production facility marks an important milestone for Taxi & Bus Conversion Limited and signals its commitment to long-term growth.

"Invest NI’s continued support has played a significant role in the company’s growth to date and enabled the business to increase employment and invest in marketing, R&D and skills development."

David Donnell, MD of Taxi & Bus Conversions, said: "It has always been our priority to ensure that all our conversion work for both cars and minibuses, meets with industry standards and have invested time and energy to align the business with all new and existing legislation.

"This level of rigorous testing has helped us secure vehicle specific accreditations and build an alliance with VW and Motability, amongst others.

"Moreover, the support we received from Invest NI over many years has accelerated that business growth and helped us establish a solid reputation among our customer base. Our success to date combined with our growth programme demonstrates our passion for building a company to be proud of. Our new premises will help elevate the business to another level and enable us to generate increased sales to our target markets."
