Appeal Over Lisburn Car Burglaries

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following a car theft in the Crumlin area and two 'creeper' burglaries that occurred in the Lower Ballinderry area in the early hours of Monday 26 May.

In the first incident, a silver Peugeot 107 was stolen from the Crumlin area and was later located in The Old Stables area of Lower Ballinderry. It is believed that at approximately 00:55, a set of car keys was stolen from a house in this area and a grey Ford Mondeo was taken.

Then, at about 03:00, it was reported that a man was attempting to steal a stereo from a car in the Ashcroft Way area of Lower Ballinderry. The man fled the scene when he was disturbed by the owner of the car.

Later, at about 03:35, it was reported that car keys were stolen from a house in the Brooke Lodge area of Lower Ballinderry and a black Alfa Romeo was stolen. The grey Ford Mondeo was located and recovered from this location.

The Alfa Romeo is yet to be recovered.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact CID in Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
