Beach Body Confirmed As Missing Belfast Man

A body found on a beach at Magilligan Point on Tuesday has been confirmed as that of missing 54-year-old John McIlwaine.

A group of primary school children on a field trip discovered Mr McIlwaine's remains. He had been missing since 23 April.

Police confirmed that the remains were that of Mr McIlwaine and that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

The investigation into Mr McIlwaine's disappearance is ongoing with police trying to established his movement's before his death.

Body Of Missing Dean McIlwaine Found
The body of missing Antrim man Dean McIlwaine has been found, the PSNI have confirmed. The 22-year-old had been missing since 14 July and his body was found during a search in the Cavehill Country Park. Inspector Mark Cavanagh said: "Police can confirm that the body of a man has been found in the Cavehill area of north Belfast.

Appeal Over Missing Man
Police have launched an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a man who has gone missing in Portstewart. John McIlwaine, 54, was last seen in the Strand Road area on 23 April. He is originally from Belfast, but has a holiday home in the town. Police have said Mr McIlwaine is of slim build and 6'1" in height.

Appeal Issued For Volunteers For New Search For Dean Mcilwaine
An appeal has been made for volunteers to search Cave Hill in Belfast for missing Newtownabbey man, Dean Mcilwaine. Mr Mcilwaine has been missing since Thursday 13 July. A previous search was carried out in Belfast city centre, but a new search operation is planned for the Belfast country park on Saturday 22 July.
