Motorist Robbed By Masked Men

Police have appealed for information after a driver was robbed by three masked men.

According to police the man was driving on Lanark Way at about 06:30 on Monday morning when a silver car forced the driver to stop.

Two men, one understood to be armed with a hatchet, then got into the mans car and demanded money.

Police say the men then escaped with cash and a mobile phone.

The driver was not injured in the robbery but was left badly shaken.

Police investigating the incident have appealed for witnesses or any one with any information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Brian McIlhagga
A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Brian McIlhagga. A gang of masked men dragged the 42-year-old victim from a house in the Riverview Park area in Ballymoney on 05 January 2015. He was beaten and shot in a paramilitary-style attack.

Delivery Driver Injured Following Car Hijacking
A man has been injured following the hijacking of a car in West Belfast. The incident occurred on the Whitecliff Parade area on 16 May. The fast food delivery driver was sitting in his car and approached by two men at approximately 5.35pm. One of the men asked the victim if he was a taxi driver.

Police Appeal Over Car Hijacking
Police have launched an appeal after a teenager's car was hijacked at knifepoint. The incident happened on Mill Road, Crumlin, Co Antrim. At around 10.35pm on Tuesday (15 April), the male driver, 18, and his female passenger, also 18, were travelling in a red Volkswagen Golf when they were forced from the vehicle by two men.
