VSNI Boss Loses Job Over Staff Complaints Of Mistreatment
A series of complaints from current and former staff of Victim Support Northern Ireland over how they were treated has lead to the head of the organisation, Susan Reid, losing her job.
It is understood that an investigation was launched following complaints about the chief executive's management style, with staff complaining that they had been unfairly treated.
Ms Reid, who has lead the organisation for 10 years, has denied any wrongdoing and is understood to be fighting against the dismissal.

Odyssey Promo Complaint Upheld
The Box nightclub at the Odyssey complex in Belfast has had a complaint upheld against it, regarding an "irresponsible" drinks promotion. The Independent Complaints Panel (ICP), which administers the Northern Ireland Responsible Promotion and Retail of Alcohol Code, has upheld a complaint it received over the club's 'LOKO' promotion.

A former ‘Mountie’ has today taken up his new, high profile job as the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland. Al Hutchinson, a former assistant commissioner with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police replaces Nuala O’Loan to become only the second person to serve in the controversial position.

Number of noise complaints rise in NI
The Department of Environment (DOE) has today revealed that noise complaints in Northern Ireland have increased by 13% over the last year. The report provides information relating to the number and type of noise complaints received by all 26 district councils in Northern Ireland, from 2005 to 2006.
