Foster Attends International Business Women's Conference
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has attended the International Business Women's conference at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
The three-day conference, entitled 'Creating A New Economy', brings together local and international business leaders to share their knowledge and experience.
Minister Foster said: "A vibrant, sustainable economy is only achievable if we make the best use of all our resources, and the most important of these is our human resources, both male and female.
"Developing women as entrepreneurs and potential leaders, as well as understanding women as consumers and their impact on the economy, will require a concerted, strategic focus on how to fully integrate women's experiences, perspectives, and voices. This conference is part of that movement."
The conference is organised by Women in Business (WIB), which was established in October 2002 to promote female entrepreneurship in the greater Belfast area.
Invest Northern Ireland provided £55,200 of support to WIB during 2013/14.
