Man Arrested Over 1998 Car Bomb

A man has been arrested in connection with a car bomb attack on Moira police station in 1998.

The 47-year-old was detained by police in the Dungannon area of County Tyrone on Wednesday morning and taken to Antrim PSNI station for questioning.

Moira police station was attacked in an operation involving a car packed with more than 200kg of explosives on 20 February 1998.

11 people were injured in the blast in the County Down town, which caused extensive damage to the unmanned station and surrounding properties.
