Second Attack On Alliance Office

A further attack has been carried out on an Alliance Party office in east Belfast.

In a statement, police said paint was thrown at the building, located on the Upper Newtownards Road, at around 4am on Thursday, while the remains of a petrol bomb was also found.

It is the second consecutive day the premises has been attacked. At around 11pm on Tuesday, the office – which is used by MP Naomi Long – suffered scorch damage in a petrol bomb attack. CCTV footage recovered from the scene show at least four people throwing seven petrol bombs at the building, smashing windows and causing scorch damage.

Police have not said who is to blame for the attacks, and have appealed for information.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police are appealing for information after office premises were damaged in a petrol bomb attack in Londonderry yesterday. The incident happened at the Northern Ireland Probation Board office at Crawford Square, off the Northland Road at around 5am.

A foreign national woman who is eight months pregnant was among four people targeted in a petrol bomb attack at the weekend. Police believe that the incident - in County Tyrone - was racial in its nature.

Appeal For Information On Petrol Bomb Attack In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack at a property in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine. Shortly after 1.20am on Monday 22nd August, emergency services were called to reports of a fire after a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at the front of a property.

Sinn Féin Condemns Petrol Bomb Attack
Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile has condemned a further petrol bomb attack in the Short Strand area. Police are investigating the incident, which saw four petrol bombs thrown at an east Belfast interface around 10.30pm on Monday night.
