Belfast Firm Targets Opportunities Across The UK And US
AquaQ Analytics in Belfast is targeting opportunities across the UK, US and European Financial Services sector following a range of support from Invest Northern Ireland.
The company provides specialist data management, data analytics and data mining services to clients operating within the capital markets and other sectors. In recent years AquaQ Analytics has benefited from Invest NI support to expand its workforce and undertake a skills training programme with part funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
AquaQ Analytics has recruited 22 high quality IT and Finance posts since incorporation in 2011, 15 of which were supported by Invest NI.
Following a visit to the company's offices, Ian Murphy, Invest NI's Director of Growth and Scaling said: "This is an ambitious and fast growing company at the forefront of sophisticated technology for the global financial services industry. We are helping the company market its enterprise internationally and providing support towards training.
"Financial services is a priority sector for Invest NI and it will benefit significantly from the investment in the data analytical expertise that AquaQ Analytics is now developing and marketing."

Invest NI 'Insuring Success'
Belfast-based Adelaide Insurance Services (AIS) is investing over £5m towards growth in the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain insurance markets, with support from Invest Northern Ireland. Jobs are to follow as AIS is aiming to double its sales, workforce and profits by the end of 2011.

Invest NI has secured an investment which will see Wombat, the US-based financial services group, establish its global centre of software engineering excellence in Northern Ireland. Wombat’s software transfers stock exchange data to remote trading floors in banks at high speed, improving the efficiency and accuracy of automated trading systems.
