Police Appeal Over Car Hijacking

Police have launched an appeal after a teenager's car was hijacked at knifepoint.

The incident happened on Mill Road, Crumlin, Co Antrim.

At around 10.35pm on Tuesday (15 April), the male driver, 18, and his female passenger, also 18, were travelling in a red Volkswagen Golf when they were forced from the vehicle by two men.

It is thought the two men had travelled to the area in a green Ford Focus, which was driven by a third man. The Ford Focus was later involved in a road collision with a white Seat at Flush Bend, north Belfast at around 10.55pm.

The driver of the car fled the scene on foot, while the driver of the Seat was taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the hijacking or the collision, or who has any information which could help the investigation, to contact them on 101.
