'High-Profile' Republican Remanded Over Omagh Bombing

A man has been remanded in custody over the 1998 Omagh bombing.

43-year-old Seamus Daly, described as a "high-profile" Republican is facing a total of 33 charges, including the murders of 29 people in the Omagh bombing.

Two other charges relate to the same bombing and another two charges relate to an attempted explosion in Lisburn earlier in the same year.

Bail was refused by the judge, who raised concerns that Mr Daly would flee the Irish Republic.
