Man Arrested In Jean McConville Investigation
A 56-year-old man has been arrested over the abduction and murder of Jean McConville.
The man was arrested in west Belfast on Wednesday morning.
A mother of 10, Jean McConville was kidnapped from her flat in the Divis area of Belfast in December 1972 and shot by the IRA.
The 37-year-old's body was only discovered when it was found on a beach in County Louth in the Republic of Ireland in August 2003.
Today's arrest follows the appearance in court last week of 77-year-old Ivor Bell, charged with aiding and abetting the murder of Mrs McConville.
