Man In Court Over Bomb Find
A 22-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with the seizure of an improvised mortar bomb in west Belfast last week, it has been reported.
Last Thursday (27 March), police seized a holdall containing a bomb and command wire on Belfast's Shaws Road.
Bomb disposal experts attended the scene and made the device safe.
Connor Hughes, from Altan Close in Dunmurry, was arrested by police following the find and charged with having an improvised explosive device with intent to endanger life.
Appearing in court on Monday, Mr Hughes made no reply to the charge.
No application was made for bail and he was remanded in custody.
According to UTV, Hughes is due to appear in court, via videolink, in four weeks time.

Viable Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A viable pipe bomb has been found in north Belfast, police have confirmed. Police and army bomb experts discovered the device in the garden of a house in Shore Crescent on Monday. The pipe bomb has been removed for further examination. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Miss Hughes, a mother of one, was fatally stabbed during a house party at Park Avenue in the town on Easter Monday. Appearing at Downpatrick Magistrates Court, Mark Wallace from Elmwood Drive, in Bangor, spoke only to confirm his name.

Man charged with supplying Omagh bomb car
The man arrested on Tuesday in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing has appeared in court today. Anthony Joseph Donegan, 34, from Dundalk, appeared before Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with supplying a car to terrorists between 11 August 1998 and 16 August 1998.

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the discovery of a large incendiary-type bomb in Belfast at the weekend. Terence McCafferty, 34, from the New Lodge area of the city, was charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion and possessing an improvised explosive device.
