Motorists May Have Driven Over Suspect Device
Motorists might have driven over a suspicious device at the junction of Albertbridge Road and Castlereagh Street in east Belfast, according to reports.
The suspect package was reported by a passers-by at around 18:15 on Wednesday sparking a security alert.
The alert ended at around 23:00 and no homes were evacuated during the incident.
A police spokeswoman said that, "it is believed a number of motorists may have driven over the device before it was reported to police."
The device was taken away by Army bomb experts for examination, it is not yet known if it was viable.

Viable Incendiary Device Found On Police Station Grounds
A controlled explosion has been carried out on a viable incendiary device discovered on the grounds of Ballycastle Police Station, Co Antrim. A second device found has been declared a hoax. They were discovered on the Ramoan Road on Thursday morning. A number of businesses were forced to close during the alert, however they have now reopened.

Explosive Device Found In West Belfast
An explosive device found during a security alert in west Belfast was "designed to kill or seriously injure police officers", according to the PSNI. The alert, which has now ended, was on the Brians Well road area in Poleglass on Saturday, 14 January.

Search Continues For Explosive Device In L'Derry
Police are continuing to carry out searches in L'Derry after being informed that a suspicious device has been left in the city. The search, on the Madam's Bank Road, is resuming after being told an explosive device had been abandoned in the area. Residents and motorists are being urged to be vigilant.

A viable device found during a security alert in north Belfast is believed to be linked to a hate crime. Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene at Atlantic Avenue on Thursday, 25 August. A number of residents were evacuated from their homes, however they have since returned.

Viable Device Found In Newry Had Detonated
A device found in Newry on Thursday had exploded, according to police. The device was discovered on the Barracric Road and a railway line between Newry and Dundalk was forced to close. It has since been re-opened. No damage was caused and there were no reports of any injuries. The device has been taken away by the police for further examination.
