'Pipe Bomb' Explodes In Tobermore

The PSNI is investigating after a "pipe bomb type" device exploded in the Castle Park area of Tobermore, L'Derry, in the early hours of this morning (18 March).

Police said a number of rear windows were damaged when the device exploded shortly before 01:00. Two adults and three children were in the house at the time, but were not injured.

It is understood a house in Calmore Park directly behind Castle Park was also damaged in the incident. The occupants were not injured.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for information.

Policeman escapes injury in car explosion
An off duty police officer has narrowly escaped injury following an explosion at his car today in County Antrim. The police said the incident happened at 2.40pm this afternoon at the police officer’s home in Dunclug Park, Ballymena. The area has been sealed off and army Technical officers are examining the scene.

Pipe Bomb Explodes Outside Craigavon House
An elderly woman has been treated for shock after a pipe bomb exploded outside her house in Craigavon. The device detonated at around 12.50am this morning, Thursday 07 March, in the Burnside area. Police said damage was caused to the front door and hallway of the property.
