Suspicious Object Found In West Belfast
A suspicious object has been discovered in west Belfast following searches linked to paramilitary activity.
A section of Norglen Crescent was closed and the army bomb squad has been called out to examine the device.
The search follows the arrest of two men aged 39 and 47.
The suspects were taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim for questioning.
L'Derry Alert A 'Hoax'
A security alert in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry has been declared a hoax.
The alert followed the discovery of a suspicious object in the Tobermore Road area. Army bomb experts were called in to examine the object.
The road was closed between the Ballyheifer Road and Glenmaquill Road for several hours but has now reopened.
Police Examine Approach Of Young Girl
Police investigating the approach of a young girl in Dromore, County Down, have described it as "serious".
The nine-year-old was walking along Mount Street on Tuesday afternoon when a man grabbed her schoolbag and tried to pull her back. The girl was able to get free and ran to a nearby shop.
Police said the man has been described as being five foot ten, clean shaven and wearing a red and black shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the PSNI in Banbridge.
Youths Blamed Over W Belfast Vandalism
Young people in west Belfast are being blamed for damaging property at an interface.
The incident occurred at Workman Avenue off the Springfield Road at about 21:00 on Wednesday evening. Three young people were seen in the area and a short time later a fire was started that burned part of a fence.
There have been a number of incidents in the same area in recent months.

A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax. The Mill Road in Newtownabbey has been reopened. Elsewhere, a suspicious object discovered on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast was also declared a hoax. The road reopened at around 4.20am on Wednesday, 13 July. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.

Suspicious Object Found In West Belfast
A road in west Belfast has been closed following the discovery of a suspicious object. The Springfield Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place at the junction of Springfield Road, West Circular Road and Pollard Street. The PSNI are currently at the scene. No further details have been released.
