Man wounded in 'paramiltary-style' shooting in Coleraine
A man received a gunshot wound to his leg following what police described as a ‘paramilitary style shooting’ in Coleraine last night.
The incident took place at around 10.10 pm in the Loughand Hill Park area.
Three masked men burst into the man’s house and shot the man in his leg.
The men were then seen speeding away from the scene in a white coloured Peugeot 309, towards Atlantic Road.
Police have appealed to anyone with information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 02870344122 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800555111.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.
