Arms find at home of murdered loyalist

Police have uncovered 250 rounds of ammunition and an explosive device, as a result of the search of a house on the Ballyrobert Road in Bangor yesterday.

It is believed that the house belonged to leading loyalist and member of the Red Hand Commandos, Jim Johnston, who was murdered last month.

Police who were called in after investigators from the Assets Recovery Agency had carried out a search of the house made the discovery.

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the find.
