Green Light For Business Park In Crumlin
Environment Minister Mark H Durkan has said planning approval has been recommended for a business park near Crumlin.
The plans are for 23 small business units and 2,000 square metres of floor-space and would be located on part of a former World War Two Air Force camp site which is associated with the Langford Lodge airfield.
Commenting, Mark H Durkan said: "This is a boost for Crumlin. This approval is to be welcomed as it regenerates a former industrial site which was previously used for meat processing. It will also bring construction jobs in the short term.
"Increasing the availability of small business units should encourage more businesses in to the area. Decisions like this all contribute towards my vision for a better environment and a stronger economy."
DOE Planning consulted with Antrim Borough Council on 27 February 2014 who raised no objections to the proposal.
