Funding To Repair World War II Jetty Confirmed
Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has confirmed funding of £20,000 to repair the World War II jetty at Fort George in L'Derry.
Part of the jetty has been fenced off for the past 18 months having been damaged when a ship collided with it in August 2012.
The repair work will include the replacement of railings and a new navigation light on the jetty. General maintenance works including power hosing and repainting will also be carried out.
Minister McCausland said: "This investment of £20,000 by the Executive, through the Department for Social Development, will allow the jetty to become fully operational again. Riverfront amenities are valuable assets that create a sense of place in any city. The refurbished jetty will complement the pedestrian and cycle paths running alongside the river and provide another focal point for both visitors and local people."

£4M Regeneration For Shankill Homes Launched

Warning As Cold Callers Cash-in
A warning has been issued to look out for bogus tradesmen who offer immediate help on urgent house repairs. The NI Trading Standards Services said that consumers should "pour money down the drain" when such bogus workmen call at your home offering urgent repairs.

Windsor Park dispute continues
Linfield Football Club (LFC) are seeking legal advice following recent concerns shown by the Irish Football Association (IFA) over the safety and condition of Windsor Park, home to both Linfield and Northern Ireland. A statement was released this week by LFC in response to a letter from the IFA that purported to terminate their existing contract.
