Poots Orders Alcohol Price Report

The major accident of the Odyssey Arena in Belfast earlier this month in which more than 100 young people were treated for the alcohol effects have forced Health Minister Edwin Poots to order a report on the impact of a minimum price for alcohol in NI.

Mr Poots said he was concerned about the availability of alcohol at "pocket money prices".

He said that when the report is analysed he will decide whether or not to proceed with an appropriate legislation.
