Andrew Allen Murder - Man Released Without Charge
Gardaí have released a man without charge after arresting him in connection with the murder of a man from L'Derry.
The man in his 40s was released on Thursday evening.
Father of two Andrew Allen was shot dead on 9 February 2012 at his house at Links View Parka house near Buncrana, County Donegal.
Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD) claimed responsibility for the murder, despite Mr Allen's family continually rejecting claims he was a drug dealer.
The man was arrested in County Donegal on Tuesday and detained at Buncrana Garda Station.
Gardaí have appealed for information from anyone who may have been in the Links View Park area of Buncrana prior to or after the shooting and anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in the days leading up to the shooting.
Gardaí are also appealing for witnesses who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in or around Ballybone, Fahan, where the Silver Vauxhall Cavalier car, registration number SJI 2117, was found burned out shortly after the shooting.
Officers are anxious to trace the movements of the car before and after the shooting along the Buncrana to Derry road. It is thought there may also have been a second car in the Ballybone area around the time of the shooting.
Witnesses are asked to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074-9320540, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
