FG Wilson secure £5m worth of Saudi Arabian contracts
Antrim-based engineering firm, FG Wilson have secured contracts worth nearly £5 million with a leading Saudi Arabian telecommunications company.
Thanks to the company's Saudi Arabian dealer, Tamgo, the firm will supply over 100 generating sets to help power Saudi Telecom’s mast sites in remote areas of Saudi Arabia.
Tamgo initially supplied Saudi Telecom with 44 FG Wilson power containers at a value to FG Wilson of £2.2 million, followed by a further 56 in the past year, worth another £2.5 million.
Ian Moore, Vice President of Sales and Dealer Development at FG Wilson, presented Tamgo’s General Manager, Saudi-based Mr Marwan Alfadl, with an impressive globe-shaped crystal trophy today at FG Wilson’s Larne facility, in recognition of the dealer’s role in securing the lucrative business.
In presenting the award, Mr Moore said that FG Wilson’s network of dealers was vital to its global success.
“We have dealers in countries as far apart as Scotland and Nigeria, Bangladesh and Australia, as well as Saudi Arabia, who sell and distribute our products all over the globe. Their success is vital to our success and we are delighted to acknowledge the input of Tamgo in securing this business with Saudi Telecom”, he said.
FG Wilson has three facilities based in Northern Ireland and employ in the region of 2,000 staff. The firm currently exports over 90% of its products to 180 markets across the globe.
