Crisis Fund Reinstated For Migrants, Refugees And Asylum Seekers
A crisis fund is to be set up for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers living in Northern Ireland, the Stormont Executive has announced.
It is not yet clear how much money will be made available for the fund or who will be selected to apply.
It is understood that the fund will provide a small quantity of money for people who have troubles with benefits, unemployment, who have suffered family breakdown or domestic violence, according to BBC News.
A pilot scheme took place in 2012, with 13 organisations allocating £43,402.97 and helping 1,252 people.
The project looked at how small quantities of money could help a lot to let people recover.
Charities that works with vulnerable people have welcomed the news.
