£4.5m ecstasy haul was set for NI say police
A Northern Ireland man has been arrested following the interception of the largest consignment of ecstasy tablets intended for the province.
The find is estimated to have a street value of £4.5 million and includes 450,000 tablets. Police believe the tablets were intended for supply in Northern Ireland.
The drugs were seized during an operation by customs officers in the south-east of England. Officers are believed to have been tipped off by the PSNI.
The drugs were discovered when customs officers searched a lorry in the seaport town of Dover.

Customs raid illegal fuel operations in Co Armagh
Customs officers seized in excess of 65,000 litres of fuel from commercial premises in Co Armagh yesterday. During the operation, which was assisted by the PSNI, Customs officers seized 66,200 litres of green diesel, derv and petrol from storage tanks and a fuel tanker containing green diesel and kerosene.

Two arrested after drugs raid
A 29-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman have been arrested, following what was described as a planned police operation in County Antrim. The searches were carried out at an address in the Carnreagh area of Craigavon earlier today. During the operation, officers seized ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of £10,000.

Police and the PSNI drug squad have seized a substantial quantity of ecstasy tablets during an operation on the M1 motorway yesterday evening. Shortly before 11.30pm, officers stopped a car on the M1 country bound – close to Broadway, and following a search of the vehicle, recovered several thousand ecstasy tablets.
