£70k Dungannon Road Improvement Announced
A £70,000 road improvement scheme on Killyman Road/Killymeal Road in Dungannon is scheduled to begin on Monday 17 February.
The scheme is to remove the existing mini roundabout and introduce a traffic signalised junction. It is thought the development will take about eight weeks to complete.
Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy said: "The new linked signal provision will improve traffic flow in this area, particularly at peak times. The signals will also have crossing facilities to improve road safety for pedestrians."
The new traffic signals will be linked to the existing signal controlled junction at Circular Road/Northland Row.
