Armed Robbery At Warrenpoint Property
A couple have been taken to hospital following an armed robbery at their home.
The couple were at the property on the Rostrevor Road, Warrenpoint, Co Down, on Sunday night when the incident occurred.
At around 10pm, four men – two of which are believed to have had guns – entered the property. They threatened the couple before locking them in a bathroom.
The gang is understood to have fled with a sum of money.
On Monday morning, the couple raised the alarm after a visitor called to their house.
They were not injured in the incident, but have been left badly shaken.
Equipment Damaged At Quarry
Two diggers have been destroyed in a fire at a quarry in Comber, Co Down.
Police have said they believe both vehicles were set alight deliberately, but enquiries are continuing, with all lines of investigation being explored.
Shortly after 10.50pm on Sunday night, fire crews attended the scene at the Whitemountain Quarry on the Ballystockart Road. There are no reports of any injuries.

£215k Road Improvement Scheme For Newbuildings
Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced a £215,000 major resurfacing scheme at Victoria Road, Newbuildings in Co Londonderry.
Work will commence on the project on Monday 17 February 2014 and last for approximately three weeks.
In order to facilitate the works, it will be necessary to operate road closures on the following two weekends:
• Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 February 2014
• Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March 2014.
The Victoria Road will be closed from its junction with the Duncastle Road for a distance of 500 metres southwards. Diversion routes will be sign posted.
Traffic travelling towards Londonderry will be diverted from Strabane via A38 Lifford Road, N14 Letterkenny Road and R265 Rossgier Road in Co Donegal.
Traffic travelling towards Strabane will be diverted via B48 Duncastle Road and B49 Berryhill Road. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
At other times during the duration of the work, temporary traffic control measures in the form of stop-go boards will be operational.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed by 4 March 2014.
Minister Kennedy has said the scheme "will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on part of this important road running through the village of Newbuildings."

A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
