Ebrington Development Could Support 2,400 Jobs
Redevelop of Londonderry's Ebrington site could create some 2,400 jobs, urban regeneration company Ilex has said.
A public consultation of the proposed development began on Tuesday. It is understood that the public have called for a cinema, a concert space and cafes to be included in the proposals.
The Waterside site was a key feature during Derry's time as the UK City of Culture, but the Venue erected at the site was taken down at the end of the years events.
Ilex project manager, Andy Patterson, has said that the proposed development could support over 2,000 jobs and generate millions.
The public consultation will run until march.

Work To Begin On £350m Housing Development In Co Antrim
Work is to start on one of Northern Ireland's largest housing development schemes in Co Antrim. The £350 million housing development at Readers Park in Ballyclare is also expected to create around 600 jobs. The Neptune Group acquired the 165 acre site last year.

Waste Management Site Planned
£240m is to be invested in a planned waste management site near Mallusk in County Antrim. The new development would be one of the biggest single infrastructure schemes in the region, and would deal with waste from eleven council areas in Northern Ireland.

£8m Social Housing On Way For Derry
Tenders are currently being sought for the construction of 60 houses in a social development scheme in Londonderry. Planning applications revealed the intention for 60 houses with an option for a further 40 social housing units on lands between Glengalliagh Road and Racecourse Road, Bradley's Pass, in the city.
