Teenager Stabbed In Belfast Alleyway

A teenager has been stabbed after he was attacked by two men in north Belfast.

The 17-year-old was walking through an alleyway in the New Lodge area of the city early on Wednesday morning when the incident occurred.

It is understood he was attacked at the entry to Bruslee Way by two men. The victim was grabbed from behind and thought he had been punched in the back. He was able to break free from his attackers and run to safety.

He was later taken to hospital with a stab would to his shoulder.

In a statement, police said one of the men was wearing a green coat and black shell bottoms, while the other man wore a black coat and black shell bottoms. Their faces were covered with their coats.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who has information regarding the attack to contact them.

Cash And Cigarettes Stolen During Armed Robbery In East Belfast
Police are searching for two men following a robbery at a shop on the Albertbridge Road in east Belfast on Saturday evening. The men entered the store, climbed over the counter and stole a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of money from the till at around 10.45pm. One of the men was armed with a claw hammer.

The man, who told workers that he had a knife in his pocket, threatened staff and stole a sum of money from a till.
