SMEs tap into NI’s knowledge assets

Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, in partnership with Invest NI and Castlereagh Enterprises, will be delivering an information seminar to high-light the support services to industry available within the NI university knowledge base.

The universities recognise that many businesses are not aware of the support services available to them, and even if they are aware, often don’t know whom to contact.

As part of the universities’ outreach programmes, the workshop on June 24, 2003, has been organised to address these issues. Previous workshops have been organised in Belfast, Londonderry, Armagh, Ballymena, Omagh and Larne.

Jim Curran and Richard Millen from Queen’s Regional Office will be taking the opportunity to inform local companies of the wide range of services and facilities available to businesses, from Product and Process Design and Development to Environmental Management, and from Continuing Professional Development to Graduate Placements. Case study material will be used to illustrate the benefits which can be derived from links with the universities.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday 24th June starting at 5pm at Castlereagh Enterprises Limited, Dundonald Enterprise Park, Carrowreagh Road, Dundonald. A light buffet supper will be provided.

To register your attendance at this event, please contact Lydia Gamble on 028 90557557 or by email at lydia@castlereagh.com.
