Man Charged With Kevin Conway Murder

Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch have charged a 45-year-old man who was arrested in England on Monday with a murder in County Armagh 15 years ago.

The man was charged with the murder of 30-year-old Kevin Conway, who was found shot at Soldierstown Road, Aghalee, in February 1998.

The charge follows a review of the original murder investigation by detectives attached to Serious Crime Branch.

He appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court this morning.

Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have appealed to the community to come forward if they have any information about Mr Conway's murder. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Gough on 028 37517390.

Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch, reviewing the murder of 35-year-old Stephen Warnock, in Newtownards in 2002, are appealing for information on the 22nd anniversary of his murder. Stephen died after being shot a number of times in his car while driving on the Circular Road in Newtownards at approximately 11.30 am on 13th September 2002.

Renewed Appeal On 31st Anniversary Of Peter McCormick Murder
Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch have issued a fresh appeal for information on the 31st anniversary of the murder of Peter McCormick. On 19 November 1992, the 42 year old former teacher from Drumena Road in Kilcoo, was shot dead when two gunmen burst into the Thierafurth Inn and opened fire on customers inside at around 9pm.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection the murder of Matthew Boyd 15 years ago. The suspect was detained by detectives from the Legacy Investigations Branch in Belfast today, 10 May.
